Learn how NotebookFlo collects, uses, stores, and protects your information.

NotebookFlo is built to help you turn content into structured knowledge. To do that well, we need to collect and process some information. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

We collect information in a few different ways:

  • Account details, such as your name, email address, and authentication information.
  • Content you submit, including links, uploads, notes, transcripts, and generated artifacts.
  • Usage information, such as the pages you visit, actions you take, and feature interactions.
  • Device and browser data, including IP address, browser type, operating system, and approximate location derived from your network.
  • Support messages and other communications you send to us.

Where possible, we minimise the information we collect and use it only for product operation and improvement.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide and operate NotebookFlo.

We do not sell personal information. We may share information in limited situations:

  • With service providers that help us host, store, support, analyse, and secure the service.
  • When required by law, legal process, or a valid government request.
  • To protect our users, our systems, or the rights and safety of NotebookFlo and others.
  • In connection with a business transaction, such as a merger or acquisition, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Any provider we use is expected to handle data consistently with the role they perform for us.

4. Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods can vary based on the type of data and the reason it was collected.

If you delete content or close your account, we will remove or de-identify data within a reasonable period unless we are required to keep it for legal or security reasons.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not work properly if you disable them.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including access controls, encryption in transit, and operational monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If we become aware of a security incident that affects your data, we will take appropriate steps consistent with applicable law.
